Hi, I am Jessi Ortiz.
I'm am an a Professional Photographer AS WELL AS an Art Therapist and Counselor!
"I take my work as a photographer lightheartedly serious, both technically and artistically, but also emotionally."
I believe "Expression heals!" Through photography, whether photographer or subject feelings, thoughts, beliefs and experiences emerge naturally!
They tell a story, lure us in, help us explore ourselves to make sense of the world.
Named after my Italian grandmother, Anna Doria Mazzella, a woman full of grace, beauty, spunk and love!
I capture HEARTS of people, pets, and objects in a way that shows the beauty of the inside and the outside!
What's in a photo?
Since I was in elementary school, I found myself snapping images in my mind's eye as I waltzed through life each day. It's part of who I am. I wonder and wander in mind, body, and soul; My life's path is paved by my distracted glimpses of the hidden beauty in the world around me.
Before I see people as "clients," I see them as unique creations, one and only's, beautiful, colorful tapestries of character, passion, gifts, and visions that I can't wait to accentuate through what I can capture through the lens.

— Aaron Siskind
“A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it.”
— Edward Steichen
“Taking pictures is like tiptoeing into the kitchen late at night and stealing Oreo cookies.”
— Diane Arbus
“It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head.”
— Henri Cartier-Bresson
